In the past few days, I've come across a Web site for an Iraqi insurgent group, complete with RSS feed and an English language version. A snippet:
*Shelling Mahdy army and Badr corps crowds with 30 mortar rounds 82mm in Balad (dated 5/11).*Destruction of US Humvee and killing its crew in Tikrit (dated 2/11).
Meanwhile, also I just came across (read: was sent) a downright snarky PowerPoint presentation (see link below) made by some Iraqi insurgent group and aimed at freaking out GIs and Americans in general. The first slide, "TRAVIL From U.S.a TO IRAQ." The last slide shows a cemetery with U.S. flags and says "What beautiful backing home!!! "
I have no deep thoughts here (except that with all their funding you'd think they could afford better translators). Check it out for yourselves.
iaisite.info is hosted on a server in Kentucky by ixwebhosting.com. As with most of these incidents where we find "al queda" websites, they are almost always hosted in the US and are conveniently allowed to exist by the US government.
Who pointed you in the direction of this website and what was their motive?

to expect a 3rd world insurgencey to have professional translators is a bit silly, specially when you consider that very few American GIs can speak a word of Arabic. The power point file could have been made by 12 year olds
i can't believe that website is still up, there are a number of hi-quality IED videos up there.

Well, you don´t have to dig too far down to find any American "link" in those Web sites. The Mijahideen Shura Council´s web log is hosted by.... Google. Both versions, in English and in Arabic... With the RSS thing and all...
