The Iraqification of Afghanistan appears to be continuing. IWPR reports from a southern district in the country:
Following the latest in a series of assassinations, the government in mid-April banned unregistered motorcycles and pillion-riding throughout the district, depriving the insurgents of their preferred mode of attack.
Not to be outdone, the Taleban promptly issued a decree of their own: no vehicular movement would be allowed in the district at all. Those defying the order would be prime targets for Taleban revenge.
The result is that the roads are almost empty of traffic. Ten days after the bans, motorcycles started to trickle back, but very few cars, testimony to the fact that residents fear the Taleban much more than the government.
“We very rarely see a police patrol or a government team to come to our village, but we see armed Taleban patrolling the area every day,” said Rahmatullah, a shopkeeper in Safaraz village. “Whom should we fear more?”

We have won the war in Afghanistan and defeated the Taliban just as we have defeated Al Qaida in Iraq and brought them electricity while casualties fall every month.
It doesn't surprise me that liberals lke you make up stories to try and undermine this administration, but the good news will win.
The First Amendment does not protect treason and lying. Go to Cuba with John Kerry!

>>...just as we have defeated Al Qaida in Iraq<<
How do you figure we have defeated Al Qaida in Iraq where there were no (or at most, very few) members their before our invasion, and now they seem to be a major factor in the insurgency?

It is interesting that the Americans that accuse you of making these stories up sound just like the ones they claim we have defeated! I think of them as our very own version of the Taliban. Intolerant and violent. The solution for them is everyone that disagrees with them should die or leave the country!
Instead of you going to Cuba. They might like to resurect Nazi Germany. There was a pretty intolerant group. They would be right at home!
