Let's say a close U.S. ally had some long-time terrorists in jail--guys who did things like blow up nightclubs and an airliner. Then let's imagine that the government for one reason or another decided to spring them from prison. Surely, our administration would not stay silent about such a move.
Surely, our Secretary of State wouldn't say, this "entirely an internal Panamanian matter and I will just leave it there."
And of course, our government wouldn't then happily let these evil-doers into the U.S.
Huh, I guess would it.
